About

A small hotel that behaves like one.

Facts about ownership, opening dates and design credits are marked [VERIFY] until confirmed by the hotel.

MB Hotel is a nine-window building on Collins Avenue [VERIFY] — three floors of balconies above a lit ground-floor entrance, a pool deck behind, and the Atlantic a short path away. It is not large, and it does not try to be. There is one front desk, one bar, one pool, and staff who tend to recognise you by the second morning.

The building belongs to the Miami Beach that came after the Deco boom and before the towers: clean rectangles, deep window reveals, shade engineered into the facade rather than added on. The renovation kept that logic [VERIFY]. Rooms are pale and uncluttered, with blue in the textiles and wood underfoot; balconies were treated as rooms rather than ledges, wide enough for two chairs and a coffee. Public spaces are deliberately quiet — the lobby is a place to sit rather than a place to be photographed.

As part of the Trademark Collection by Wyndham, the hotel keeps its own name, design and management while operating inside a global soft brand. Practically, that means two things for a guest. The independence is real: the room mix, the food, the music and the tone of service are set here, not in a brand manual. And the infrastructure is real too — Wyndham Rewards points and redemptions, a familiar booking and loyalty system, and standards that are audited rather than self-declared [VERIFY]. Trademark Collection admits properties with a distinct sense of place, which is a fair description of what this building has.

What follows from a small property is a different rhythm. Breakfast is not a conveyor belt. Late check-out is a conversation rather than a policy lookup [VERIFY]. The team knows which stretch of sand is quieter on a Saturday, which Lincoln Road tables are worth the walk, and when the tide makes the morning swim worth setting an alarm for. Recommendations come from people who live here.

The ambition is modest and specific: to be the hotel guests return to because nothing about the stay required effort. A good bed, a working balcony, water within sight, and a city that starts at the front step.
