The hotel sits in the MIMO district — Miami Modernism — a mid-century stretch of Collins Avenue north of the main tourist corridor, quieter than the blocks below South Beach.

It is the easiest place to spend an unplanned evening, and the easiest place to eat well without a reservation.

Sazon Cuban Cuisine and Fifi's Seafood Restaurant are both on the local stretch of Collins Avenue nearby, easy stops for a casual meal before heading back to the beach.

Further out, the Bass Museum, the Miami Beach Botanical Garden and the Convention Center district sit within a short ride [VERIFY], and the Venetian and MacArthur causeways carry you into Downtown, Brickell, Wynwood and the Design District in fifteen to twenty-five minutes depending on the hour [VERIFY]. Little Havana and Coconut Grove make comfortable half-day trips.

What the location gives you, practically, is choice without a car. Breakfast, groceries, a pharmacy, a good dinner and the ocean are all inside a walk [VERIFY]. Everything else in Miami is a short drive over the water.
