A Miami Beach stay on either side of your cruise.
~11 miles / about 20 minutes by car or rideshare to PortMiami (~$35–50). Close enough to sail comfortably; far enough to be a holiday in itself.
Daily Resort Fee: $29 + tax, charged per room, per night.
Location
Let us be straight about the distance.
MB Hotel is not a port hotel. PortMiami is about eleven miles away — roughly twenty minutes by car or rideshare in normal traffic, with fares typically in the $35 to $50 range. If your priority is being five minutes from the terminal gangway, a downtown property near Biscayne Boulevard will serve you better, and we would rather say that here than have you discover it on sailing morning.
What this address offers instead is the reason most people fly to Miami a day early in the first place. A pre-cruise night here is a beach afternoon, a balcony, dinner without a schedule, and a proper night's sleep before embarkation — rather than a view of a car park and an airport-hotel breakfast.
The logistics are simple enough that the extra miles cost you very little. Rideshares are constant along Collins Avenue, the run to the port is over the MacArthur Causeway with the cruise terminals visible for most of it, and embarkation windows are usually assigned with hours of margin. Guests typically leave the hotel around two hours before their boarding time and arrive relaxed. [VERIFY]
The post-cruise version works even better. Disembarkation puts you ashore mid-morning with a whole day and nowhere to be until an evening flight. Twenty minutes later you can be on a lounger with a beach towel and a shower waiting — and if you are staying the night, the balcony is a considerably better ending than the airport.

Why MB Hotel
Why cruise guests book here anyway.
The day before is part of the trip
Arrive, get on the beach, and start the holiday a day early. The resort fee already includes two loungers, an umbrella and towels, so nothing has to be organised on arrival.
A room that sleeps the whole party
Oceanfront Rooms with Balcony take up to four, which suits families and couples travelling together on the same booking rather than splitting across two downtown rooms.
A better landing after disembarkation
Post-cruise mornings are early and aimless. A beach, a pool and a shower twenty minutes from the terminal beat six hours in an airport lounge. [VERIFY]
Simple, predictable transfers
One straight run over the MacArthur Causeway, constant rideshare coverage on Collins Avenue, and onsite parking at $25 plus tax per day if you have driven to Miami. [VERIFY]
