Location

~4.4 miles / 12–15 minutes by car.

The Miami Beach Convention Center is about 4.4 miles south of the hotel, roughly 12 to 15 minutes by car or rideshare down Collins Avenue. During a major show — Art Basel, the Boat Show, a large medical or trade conference — that drive is the difference between a working week and a difficult one.

Convention weeks distort the blocks immediately around 1901 Convention Center Drive. Rates in those hotels spike, restaurant tables disappear, and the streets fill with shuttle traffic and badge queues. Staying four miles north keeps you out of all of it. You arrive to the venue by rideshare in the same time it takes a delegate in Lincoln Road to walk there through the crowd, and at the end of the day you leave the show behind rather than sitting in the middle of it.

For anyone exhibiting rather than attending, the practical points matter more than the atmosphere: WiFi throughout the property is included, every room has a work desk, and the front desk is small enough to actually handle a request for an early breakfast, a late checkout on teardown day, or a package held at reception. [VERIFY]

The other advantage is what happens after hours. Delegates staying near the venue eat where everyone else eats. Here, the evening looks like the ocean at the end of the block and a quiet room with a balcony — which is a better recovery than another convention-district dinner.

Why MB Hotel

Built for a working trip.

A room set up to work in

Every room has a work desk, a personal safe, an espresso machine and a beverage cooler, with WiFi throughout the property included in the resort fee. Nothing here is billed as an extra at the end of a long day.

Out of the convention footprint

Hotels ringing the Convention Center price and fill against the show calendar. Four miles north, a booked-out week in the district is just another Tuesday. [VERIFY]

A predictable commute

Collins Avenue is a straight run south with constant rideshare coverage, so the trip to the venue is 12 to 15 minutes rather than an unknown. Onsite parking is available at $25 plus tax per day if you are driving between meetings. [VERIFY]

Somewhere to decompress

The beach and outdoor pool are both a walk from your door, and the resort fee already covers loungers, an umbrella and towels — a usable hour between the last session and dinner.
