Dining
Where to eat, starting downstairs.
Caffe Frappe opens at eight and Kalypso holds the evening — both on property. Beyond them, mid-Miami Beach is a neighbourhood of small kitchens rather than a strip of reservations.
Daily Resort Fee: $29 + tax, charged per room, per night.
Location
Dining, at 6525 Collins Avenue.
Most guests eat their first meal without leaving the building. Caffe Frappe runs from 8:00am to 3:00pm with crepes, salads and mimosas, and Kalypso — the property's restaurant and terrace — takes over the unhurried end of the day.
Step outside and the character changes. This stretch of Collins runs through a working residential part of Miami Beach, so the restaurants nearby are neighbourhood ones — Cuban at Sazon, seafood at Fifi's, family-run — rather than the reservation-only rooms of South Beach. Those exist too, about fifteen minutes south.
We list only what we can stand behind. For third-party restaurants we give the name, the kind of food, and roughly how far — please check current hours and menus with the restaurant directly before setting out.

Why MB Hotel
Eating well from here.
Two kitchens you do not have to drive to
Caffe Frappe covers the day from eight until three — crepes, salads, a mimosa if the morning calls for it — and Kalypso is a full restaurant rather than a counter bolted onto a lobby. The first and last meal of the day are a lift ride away.
A neighbourhood, not a restaurant row
Sazon Cuban Cuisine and Fifi's Seafood Restaurant are small, independent and busy with people who live here. That is a different evening from Ocean Drive, and for a lot of guests it is the reason they booked north of the causeway.
South Beach when you want it
Lincoln Road, Española Way and the Ocean Drive rooms are a short drive rather than a walk. You get access to them without having to sleep above them.
